Istanbul University’s Central Library "JUST READ: IU SUPPORTS SCHOOL LIBRARIES Continues to support the school libraries as part of a Community Outreach Project.
The Central Library, by providing training for school libraries in need, continues its support for the school libraries arranging their collectiones to be ready for use and to teach information literacy, a prerequisite of lifelong learning.
Under this project, a book donation was made on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Davutpaşa High School Library in Fatih District Directorate followed by a presentation by Assoc. Dr. Ümit Konya of IU Faculty of Information Department on "Information Literacy".
Once again with this event we met with a group of nearly 400 students offering them a rich library stressing the importance of books and libraries and continue our work for the next school.
