Members of the National Library of France and the French Institute of Anatolian Studies pay a visit to our Library.

 

Director of the National Library of France Bruno Racine, Director of the French Institute of Anatolian Studies Professor Jean-François Pérouse have paid a visit to IU's Rector Prof. Mahmut Ak and to the Library of Rare Books.  IU Head of of Library and Documentation Department Dr. Pervin Bezirci, History of Science Department faculty member Prof. Dr. Feza research assistant with Günergun Kaan Üçsu and the International Academic Relations Committee Chairman Assoc. Dr. Özer also have attended the meeting.  Information on " In the middle of three seas from  XVIIth. to XIXth. century Ottoman and French Maps Exhibition" has been provided with the support of National Library of France, French Anatolian Research Institute and  İstanbul University between the dates of May 2nd.  to July 31st.  2016 to be held in İzmir Arkas Art Center. Further details have been reviewed.

Later on,  Rare Books Library which holds a small exhibition of valuable works-prepared for them- providing information on the culture of France and the museum have been visited and  plans have been devised toward producing joint projects in the future.
