Romanian Democratic Turkish Union Visits Central Library

On April 13, 2017,  a group of thirty from the Democratic Turkish Union of Romania paid a visit to our library.

A group of graduates of medicine, economics and engineering, strolled through the library units and received information about the operation and automation systems.

In 1989, the Turkish-Tatar minority founded the Romanian Muslim Turkish Democratic Union led by a few intellectuals.

Due to disputes between Turkish and Tatar minorities, on February 1, 1990, two minorities left. First of all the Union of Turkish Minorities of Romania and three years later (December 21, 1993) formed its own legal statute and became the Democratic Turkish Union of Romania.
