A training seminar was held on 23 October 2018 Tuesday by the Central Library and ULAKBİM, Turnitin, a software program for controlling master's and doctoral theses, preventing plagiarism and improper quotations. The seminar organized within the scope of ULAKBİM EKUAL, held at Istanbul University’s Congress and Culture Center. Techknowledge Training Specialist Serdinç Kaya drawing, nearly 100 academicians from faculties.
In Turnitin training meeting; where questions such as “ What is Turnitin? How does it work? What is the scope and features? “and the creation of an awareness in plagiarism have been held. The use of the accounts of Turintin and the necessary adjustments to be noted on the system have been demonstrated , while problems and solutions to the problems have been addressed. Examples on obtaining a similarity report on the documents uploaded to the system on sampling and their interpreting have been given. The seminar ended with a questions and answer session.
